Description: The purpose of this FOA is to solicit applications to participate in Blood and Vascular Systems Response to Sepsis (BVSS) Program. The objective of this initiative is to foster multi-disciplinary research projects needed to unravel the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the development of severe endothelial dysfunction that contributes to sepsis-related coagulopathy and vascular collapse. To accomplish this goal, the initiative will support research partnerships to conduct multi-disciplinary research needed to dissect the mechanisms of blood and vascular systems in sepsis pathogenesis
