The BRAIN Initiative is offering this grant to establish a Coordinating Unit for Biostatistics, Informatics, and Engagement (CUBIE). This unit will develop common data processing pipelines for sequencing and imaging data, build a comprehensive brain cell knowledge base, and manage engagement and outreach activities. The primary goals of this grant are to enable exploration of large-scale brain cell atlas data, inspire research into brain function and disorders, and ensure data reproducibility and transparency through findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) principles. Applicants are expected to propose a plan for only one of these four essential components to advance the BRAIN Initiative Cell Atlas Network (BICAN).
