The Study of the U.S. Branch (ECA/A/E/USS), Office of Academic Exchange Programs, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), invites proposal submissions from accredited U.S. post-secondary education institutions (community colleges, liberal arts colleges, minority serving institutions, public and private universities) and other U.S. public and private non-profit organizations (see section C. Eligibility Information in the NOFO) for the design and implementation of one Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI) for Student Leaders from Pakistan on Comparative Public Policymaking to take place in summer 2024.The SUSI for Student Leaders from Pakistan on Comparative Public Policymaking will provide approximately 20 undergraduate students from Pakistan with a deeper understanding of U.S. society, culture, values, and institutions. The SUSI will be approximately five weeks, including a four-week academic residency and a one-week integrated educational study tour. The study tour must complement the academic residency and should take participants to diverse communities in the United States. This component should include a minimum of three days in Washington, DC. The program should include opportunities for continued follow-on engagement once participants return to Pakistan.
