The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), through its Office of Citizen Exchanges, Youth Programs Division, offers an open competition for the Youth Ambassadors Program. This grant is for eligible public and private non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations. The purpose is to recruit and select youth and adult participants for three-week exchanges centered on civic education, community service, and leadership development, alongside follow-on community projects. The program facilitates cultural exchanges between the United States and 13 countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
