The Bureau of Land Management Alaska is offering this grant to support comprehensive efforts in managing and controlling invasive and noxious plant species across the diverse landscapes of Alaska. This grant is specifically designed for the purpose of protecting the state’s natural resources, preserving native biodiversity, and maintaining ecosystem integrity against the threats posed by non-native invasive plants. Funded projects will focus on critical activities such as surveying, early detection, rapid response, and implementing various control and eradication methods. Emphasis is also placed on restoring affected areas and fostering public awareness regarding the ecological damage caused by these plant invaders.
