This grant, offered by the Bureau of Land Management Headquarters (BLM HQ), is for the purpose of funding crucial aquatic resource management initiatives during Fiscal Year 2024. Leveraging investments from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (also known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act – IIJA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), this program seeks to significantly enhance, restore, and conserve vital aquatic ecosystems situated on public lands managed by the BLM. Successful projects are anticipated to improve water quality, restore degraded riparian and wetland habitats, control the spread of aquatic invasive species, enhance fish and wildlife passages, and bolster overall ecosystem resilience against climate change impacts. This funding aims to ensure the long-term health and sustainability of water-dependent resources, benefiting both ecological integrity and the public. Applications for this important grant close on January 19, 2024.
