The Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering the FY24 IIJA/IRA Good Neighbor Authority Program, specifically for initiatives in Montana and Dakota. This grant is designed to facilitate partnerships with state agencies to conduct essential forest, rangeland, and watershed restoration and enhancement activities on federal lands within these states. Leveraging funds from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), this program aims to improve ecological health, reduce wildfire risk, and support sustainable land management practices. The Good Neighbor Authority allows for collaborative efforts, enabling states to assist the BLM in achieving critical conservation and infrastructure goals, ultimately benefiting local communities and natural resources in the specified regions.
