This grant, offered by the Bureau of Land Management Idaho (BLM ID), is designed to support critical fuels management and enhance community fire assistance across Idaho. The program aims to mitigate wildfire risks by funding projects that reduce hazardous fuels on public lands and adjacent areas, employing strategies like vegetation thinning and prescribed burning. It also seeks to bolster the resilience of Idaho communities against wildfires by providing resources for preparedness, response, and recovery initiatives. This includes support for fire adapted communities, training, and equipment to protect lives, property, and natural resources from increasing wildfire threats. Part of the FY24 IIJA/IRA programs, this funding emphasizes a strategic approach to land management and community safety. The application deadline is April 8, 2024.
