The Department of the Interior, through its Bureau of Land Management New Mexico (BLM NM) office, is offering a significant grant opportunity for Fiscal Year 2024 focused on Rangeland Resource Management. This funding, derived from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), aims to support sustainable management practices across New Mexico’s rangelands. The grant is specifically designed to enhance ecosystem health, promote biodiversity, improve drought resilience, and support responsible land use. Projects typically funded under such initiatives include habitat restoration, invasive species control, wildfire risk reduction, and the implementation of sustainable grazing strategies. Eligible applicants are invited to submit proposals that align with BLM’s goals for conservation and resource stewardship. The deadline for applications is March 27, 2024.
