The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wyoming is offering a grant under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) specifically for Cultural and Paleontological Resource Management. This grant is designed to support the vital work of identifying, evaluating, protecting, and preserving significant cultural, historical, and paleontological resources on BLM-managed lands across Wyoming. Funds are intended to facilitate crucial activities such as archaeological surveys, paleontological excavations, site monitoring, and the development of comprehensive resource management plans. The initiative aims to ensure compliance with federal preservation laws, mitigate potential impacts from various land-use activities, and enhance public understanding and appreciation of these irreplaceable resources. This funding helps safeguard Wyoming’s rich heritage for future generations. The application period for this grant closed on April 12, 2023.
