The Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering the FY23 IIJA Aquatic Resource Management Grant, a significant funding opportunity aimed at enhancing and preserving vital aquatic ecosystems across BLM-managed public lands. This grant seeks proposals for projects that support the sustainable management, restoration, and conservation of various water resources, including rivers, streams, wetlands, and lakes. Funds allocated through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) will enable initiatives focused on improving water quality, restoring degraded habitats, managing invasive species, and supporting fish and wildlife populations dependent on aquatic environments. The program emphasizes an integrated approach to ecosystem health, ensuring these critical resources continue to provide ecological benefits, support biodiversity, and offer recreational opportunities. The closing date for applications is March 24, 2023.
