The Bureau of Reclamation is offering this grant to the University of Arizona to enhance water supply reliability through improved predictive capacity and response in the Colorado River Basin. This grant is for continuing and extending seven years of prior research focused on preparing for and responding to variable Colorado River supply in the Lower Basin. The project aims to deepen understanding of current and future climatological drivers of drought, evaluate specific management tools for improving system conservation, and engage key stakeholders. Collaborative efforts will facilitate knowledge exchange on state-of-the-art hydroclimatic research and water resource management, ultimately strengthening the resilience of water resources in the Colorado River basin.
