| Description: | The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) intends to issue a Notice of Intent for a Cooperative Agreements (CESU # 3FC810873) to University of California, Berkeley under the authority of catalog for domestic assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Public Law 102-575, Section 3406(b)(1) and Section 3407(e), under the auspices of the Interagency Ecological Program (IEP): Study of the Role of Pyrethroid Insecticides of Limiting Prey Availability for Delta Smelt in the North Delta. BOR proposes to provide financial assistance for a cooperative effort directed at investigating the causes of this apparent decline and providing scientific information necessary to formulate ways to reverse it.
A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
