This project will assist the Bureau and Reclamation (Reclamation), partners and stakeholders achieve objectives of the Eloy and Maricopa-Stanfield (EMS) Basin Study (Study). The results of Study will provide vital information for future water resources planning and economic development in the Study area located in Pinal County, AZ.
NAU will conduct a literature review, compile and analyze data for components of the Study’s water supply and demand assessment; evaluate the Arizona Department of Water Resources Pinal Active Management Area Regional Groundwater Flow Model, assist with contacting relevant tribes and compile relevant tribal supply/demand data, assist with developing a scope of work for updates to the groundwater flow model, reinterpret the EMS sub-basins sub-surface conditions based on new and reinterpreted data to inform updates to the groundwater flow model.
