Estimated total amount of Agreement is $396,000.00. Reclamation is providing $132,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2017. The purpose of this project will be detection and eradication of Hydrilla verticillata. Hydrilla has a direct benefit to the public by maintaining open water ways within California. There is a direct benefit to fish, wildlife, recreation and potentially agriculture all of which serve a public purpose. This will result in habitat improvements to these other water systems and broader ecosystem benefits that will in turn provide benefits to the public that use these water systems for recreation and by reducing water quality impacts to these water systems.
