The Bureau of Reclamation is offering a cooperative agreement to the Klamath Water and Power Agency (KWAPA) for On-Project Water Planning. This grant, totaling $2,500,000, is specifically for the purpose of aligning water supply and demand within the On-Project Plan Area. These are regions that depend on water diverted from the Settlement Points of Diversion, excluding specific parts of the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge. The initiative aims to ensure water management is consistent with the limitations outlined in the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement, enhancing sustainable water resources for the benefit of these reliant communities. This non-competitive award falls under the authority of the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act and the Klamath Basin Water Supply Enhancement Act.
