Additional Information

Agency Name:: Bureau of Reclamation – Mid-Pacific Region
Description:: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to Family Water Alliance, Inc., under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) P.L. 102-575 Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Sec. 3406 (b)(21) Fish, Wildlife, Improved Water Management & Conservation. The estimated total amount of the agreement is $500,000 with Reclamation providing $250,000 in Fiscal Year 2014. The purpose of The Sacramento Valley Fish Screen Program is to evaluate unscreened diversions within priority watersheds (Yuba, Feather, Sacramento main stem [upstream of Hamilton City], Mokelumne, Calaveras, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, and Merced) and provide education and outreach to property owners in high priority watersheds regarding benefits of fish screens. It will then identify potential fish screen projects among priority diversions, and implement the fish screen projects including administration, development, design, manufacturing, and installation. The principle objectives of this project are administration and management services for the overall program; evaluation, prioritization, and selection of diversion sites; environmental compliance for each project; and oversight of both the engineering and fish screen construction subcontractors. (Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No. R13AS20040 for additional information).
A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance agreement based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14 (B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Questions concerning this announcement should be directed to Leanne Henderson, Grants Management Specialist, by email at lhenderson@usbr.gov.
