Description:: | The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a grant agreement to Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy under the authority of catalog for domestic assistance (CFDA) 15.533, Water Supply, Reliability and Environmental Improvement Act, Title IĀCalifornia Water Security and Environmental Enhancement; Public Law 108-361, Section 103 (f)(4)(A)(v)(vi); 118 Stat. 1697. Estimated total amount of agreement is $345,134.00. The purpose of the agreement is to educate the Delta public outreach program participants about water supply reliability, water quality, the Delta ecological restoration efforts and how to protect local water resources. The principal objectives of this project are to provide Delta public outreach programs, such as water tours and briefings, that present information regarding: 1) implementation of large-scale Delta planning efforts; 2) climate change impacts specific to the Delta; 3) Safe Harbor Agreements for local entities; 4) identifying and coordinating key Delta restoration projects; and 5) reduction of flood event impacts related to contaminants in the Delta through pre-flood event preparedness.
