This grant is aimed at funding Southern Sierra Research Station to study the movements and connectedness of Tri-colored Blackbirds in the Kern River Valley. The project involves tracking 30 TRBLs with Motus nanotags, using Yagi antenna for precise movements, and contributing feathers to the Bird Genoscape Project for genetic connectivity study. The research will provide valuable insights into TRBL behavior and habitat requirements.
