Description: The purpose of this NOFO is to provide supplemental funding to organizations previously awarded through this NOFO. Only current active awardees are able to apply for additional funding. Funding should be used to augment current activities. Funds must be expended before the end of the current budget period.
This NOFO supports the implementation of programs and activities focusing on protecting and improving health globally through regional, national, and local partnerships to develop, implement and strengthen public health surveillance, health information systems (including monitoring and evaluation), public health laboratory capacity, workforce development, and systems and capacities for the prevention, detection, response, and control of infectious and non-communicable diseases, injury prevention efforts and public health emergencies.
Projects considered under this NOFO aim to leverage CDC and U.S. government interests and initiatives in order to address the following areas:

Health Impact: Improving the health and well-being of people
Health Security: Improving capabilities to prepare for and respond to infectious diseases, other emerging public health threats, and public health emergencies
Health Capacity: Building and strengthening country public health capacities

Funding for this award is subject to change based on CDC budgets, priorities and emerging public health issues and outbreaks. Technical areas and activities approved for funding will be based on USG GHSA priorities. Projects may be funded out of rank order due to USG GHSA priorities and to avoid duplication of GHSA activities in other CDC funding mechanisms.
Awardees must clearly state the country or countries requested for funding. Awardees may apply to expand efforts under all strategies and activities within the scope of this NOFO, however, special consideration will be given to applicants for the following countries and activities listed.
