| Additional Information on Eligibility:: | Seven states, Alaska, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island and Wisconsin Health Departments, were previously funded to implement NVDRS in 2008. This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is limited to these states: 1) to provide comparable data from a group of states over time, therefore, allowing national, state and local public health agencies to assess trends more quickly; 2) to maintain the infrastructure that has already been created to collect violent deaths; and 3) to maximize public health expenditures by building on current experience and work. |
