Description: CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “HIV Prevention among Students and Faculty at Pre-Service Institutions in the Republic of Mozambique under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).” Approximately $200,000 will be available to fund approximately one award. The purpose of the program is to work across ministries (Minstry of Health, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Defense) to assess suitability of educational campaigns targeting students attending pre-service institutions on abstience and being faithful and condom use when appropriate; HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, opportunistic infections; identify a plan for offering testing; develop a system for condom distribution at the pre-service institutions and identify sites for treatment that are conveniently located.
