Description: This NOFO will provide supplemental funding to CDC Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) to conduct Special Interest Projects (SIPs) to design, test, evaluate, disseminate, and translate effective applied public health prevention research strategies to include interventions (i.e. programs, practices, policies, or strategies) and tools developed in real-world settings to address the leading causes of illness, disability, and death in the United States. Research strategies align with public health priorities such as the Healthy People 2020 topic areas: Aging, Dementias and Alzheimer’s Disease; Epilepsy; Cancer; Nutrition and Physical Activity; and Substance Abuse – Alcohol.

(2) PD/PI for the SIP application: As previously stated:
The PI may be different from the prime grant (DP19-001) as long as the PI is registered in eRA Commons, and the application is submitted by an eligible institution (normally identified by a unique DUNS number).
(3) CDC Risk Questionnaire
The CDC Risk Questionnaire should be completed and included in the application. No additional documents are required.

(4) Application Submission Due Date:
The submission due date is extended until February 26th, 5pm EDT.
