The program is composed of two components: 1) Investigator-Initiated Projects designed to develop and test novel HAI prevention strategies, and 2) Prevention Research Emphasis Projects (PREPs), which include the development and implementation of additional HAI prevention research proposals that meet emerging or evolving public health research needs.
