The CISE Department is offering this grant to solicit proposals for scientifically timely cross-cutting research areas that benefit from diverse computing expertise. This grant is for advancing studies in Data-intensive Computing, Network Science and Engineering, and Trustworthy Computing, reflecting the department’s commitment to evolving research. Proposals will be accepted at least through December 2009. Researchers can apply across three defined project classes: Small Projects, with budgets up to $500,000 for three years; Medium Projects, ranging from $500,001 to $1,200,000 for four years; and Large Projects, spanning $1,200,001 to $3,000,000 for five years. This initiative complements CISE’s broader investments in computing research.
