This grant is for supporting innovative research proposals within the Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) cross-cutting programs. Specifically for FY 2011, funding is available for Network Science and Engineering, Smart Health and Wellbeing, and Trustworthy Computing. These programs encourage proposals benefiting from diverse computing expertise. Projects can be submitted in three classes: Small (up to $500,000, 3 years), Medium ($500,001 to $1,200,000, 4 years), and Large ($1,200,001 to $3,000,000, 5 years). Network Science and Engineering proposals are limited to Medium and Large classes. These investments complement larger Expeditions in Computing projects.
