Additional Information

Agency Name: Geological Survey
Description: The National Geospatial Program (NGP) of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner that has the ability to conduct research on multi-scale cartographic representation and map product application relating to the The National Map US Topo program. The US Topo program has identified the evolution of US Topo to the next generation as an FY14 priority 1 task. The USGS has made a significant investment in multi-scale cartographic design principles and practices within TNM framework. As the USGS evaluates the US Topo program defining the next generation of US Topo products, services and operational drivers, recommendations from the multi-scale design research will be central to define program possibilities and directions. For a successful cooperative agreement, the partner must have complementary research interests and be able to address US Topo map series development, map product format options, map delivery options, enterprise level data management strategies and other potential research topics.
