The Department of Defense (DOD) is offering this Chronic Pain Management Translational Research Award. This grant is for accelerating evidence-based chronic pain management research into clinical applications, such as healthcare products, technologies, clinical practice guidelines, and/or models of care. Proposed projects must inform the development, refinement, or revision of existing standards or guidelines for managing chronic pain. This initiative bridges the gap between research and practical implementation. Importantly, studies evaluating opioid-based therapeutic interventions are explicitly not allowed. The DOD seeks innovative, non-opioid solutions for improved chronic pain care.
