| Additional Information on Eligibility: | Eligible Applicants: An IHE is eligible to receive funds if it qualifies as an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander- Serving Institution (AANAPISI). To be an eligible AANAPISI, an IHE must–(a) Have an enrollment of needy students, as defined in section 312(d) of the HEA (section 312(b)(1)(A) of the HEA; 20 U.S.C. 1058(b)(1)(A));(b) Have, except as provided in section 392(b) of the HEA, the average educational and general expenditures of which are low, per full-time equivalent (FTE) undergraduate student, in comparison with the average educational and general expenditures per FTE undergraduate student of institutions that offer similar instruction. |
