The notice specified a deadline of October 1, 2009 for the submission of applications. Since publication, however, we have learned that the Department’s e-Application system will be shut down on October 1 in connection with the Department’s transition of its systems to the new fiscal year, which begins on October 1. Therefore, we are correcting the deadline for the submission of applications to October 8, 2009. Additional Information on Eligibility: | Eligible Applicants: Under Section 8005(b)(4) of the Recovery Act, an LEA is eligible to receive a grant under this competition if the LEA timely submitted an application eligible for funding under either Section 8002 (Payments for Federal Property) or Section 8003 (Basic Support Payments) for FY 2008; and has a total assessed value of real property available that may be taxed for school purposes (referred to hereinafter as assessed value) of less than $100 million or has an average assessed value per pupil that is less than the State average assessed value per pupil. Applicants may submit only one application for one facility within the LEA. |
