Current Closing Date for Applications: Mar 20, 2019 The Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program is a two phase process. In the first phase, all applicants must submit a two page preliminary proposal. Grants.gov will accept preliminary proposal applications through 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on September 17, 2018. Those applicants whose preliminary proposals are the most promising and best aligned with the IMLS’s priorities will be invited to submit full proposals in the second phase of the process. Grants.gov will accept invited, full proposal applications through 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on March 20, 2019. UPDATE: IMLS is extending the preliminary proposal deadlines for two library grant programs from September 17 to October 8 to provide an additional three weeks for institutions in areas affected by Hurricane Florence. For those in federally designated disaster areas as of September 10-17, IMLS will now accept applications for the National Leadership Grants for Libraries program and the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program as late as 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, October 9.
