Additional Information

Agency Name: Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health
Description: The primary objective of this FOA is to develop a patient-reported outcome performance measure (PRO-PM) for contraceptive services, in a manner in which it may be submitted to the National Quality Forum (NQF) for endorsement. The use of clinical performance measures in the context of broader quality improvement processes has been shown to improve the quality of care.[1] The Triple Aim has highlighted the importance of using quality improvement to monitor and drive improvements in health outcomes, client experience and cost savings.[3] This effort focuses on filling a critical gap in performance measures, i.e., the need for validated measures of client experience with contraceptive services.
