Description:: This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) solicits applications for Phased Innovation (R21/R33) research projects to conduct rigorous, objective services research to monitor and examine changes in drug use prevention, addiction treatment, and associated HIV and viral hepatitis services, that may occur as a result of healthcare reform. This FOA provides support for up to two years (R21 phase) for research planning activities and feasibility studies, followed by possible transition of up to four years of expanded research support (R33 phase). The total project period for an application submitted in response to this FOA may not exceed five years.
