Description: The purpose of this announcement is to strengthen the capacity of the Institute Pasteur of Côte d’Ivoire and the national laboratory network to deliver quality laboratory services related to HIV/AIDS opportunistic infections, and to implement central-level surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation of laboratory activities. The award should directly contribute to the improvement and availability of quality laboratory testing nationwide but will focus on decentralization of Tuberculosis, Cryptococal Meningitis, Sexually Transmitted Infections (Chlamydia trychomonaitis and Neisseria gonorrhea) and microbiological testing and diagnosis, improvement of the quality of laboratory data, and strengthening infrastructure and human resource capacities at 10 regional hospital labs. This award will contribute to enhance regional laboratory management by placing laboratory biologists at each of the 10 regions who will assist the district health management offices with lab related activities.
