Description:

DHS is executing a First Responder Vaccine Initiative (FRVI) Pilot that has as a primary objective the establishment of a mechanism to offer pre-event vaccinations to emergency response providers through a voluntary vaccination pilot program. This is being accomplished in operational partnership or coordination with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Office of the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS). The FRVI Pilot will work with selected State and Local jurisdictions with emergency response providers who have been assessed as high risk for exposure to aerosolized anthrax spores during the course of their assigned duties
