Description: | The Transformative Solutions Incubator (TSI) seeks to move promising technologiesfrom academic research to the marketplace to support the needs of DHS operationalcomponents in the CWMD mission space. The TSI does this by 1) identifying suitable DHS operational requirements that can be addressed by academic research, 2) developing research topic areas according to those requirements and/or CWMD Office priorities andNational Security Strategy, and 3) executing Cooperative Agreements with awardees todevelop the technology to a point that it can be transitioned to the marketplace. The TSIfacilitates this transition by requiring applicants to have industrial or national laboratorypartners. |
