The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is offering this grant to empower Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Institutions (AN/NHI) of Higher Education. This grant is for the purpose of expanding their capacity and effectiveness in addressing critical community development needs within their local areas. It specifically targets initiatives focusing on neighborhood revitalization, improving housing conditions, and fostering economic development. The primary beneficiaries of these efforts will be persons belonging to low- and moderate-income households, aligning with the objectives of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. Through this funding, AN/NHI can play a more significant role in uplifting their communities.
