The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is offering the HOPE VI Revitalization Grant program to assist Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) in transforming distressed public housing. This grant is for the critical purpose of improving the living environment for public housing residents by enabling the demolition, rehabilitation, reconfiguration, or replacement of obsolete projects. A core objective is to revitalize these housing sites and contribute significantly to the improvement of their surrounding neighborhoods. The program also aims to create housing opportunities that avoid or decrease the concentration of very low-income families, ultimately striving to build vibrant, sustainable, and well-integrated communities for all residents.
