The Department of Labor offers the WANTO Technical Assistance Grant Program to provide support for employers and labor unions in promoting women’s participation in apprenticeable occupations and nontraditional industries. This grant aims to develop pre-apprenticeship programs, offer orientations for creating inclusive work environments, and establish support networks for women in underrepresented fields such as advanced manufacturing, energy, healthcare, information technology, and transportation. Applicants can propose projects to enhance women’s success in industries where they are traditionally marginalized or confined to lower-wage roles. Application deadline: August 16, 2018.
