The Department of Parks and Recreation is offering a grant to develop a new field mapping application for monitoring invasive exotic plants in 11 parks in the Southern Plains. This project aims to support a graduate-level internship and implement a new application to keep pace with the current monitoring protocol, GIS software changes, GPS technology, and DOI IT requirements. The grant also includes developing a ‘cross-walk’ approach to ensure compatibility of previous data for reliable determination of long-term weed infestation trends.

Description: | A. Project Goals ¿ The goal of this project is to partner with the Recipient to support a graduate-level internship to develop a new field mapping application for monitoring invasive exotic plants in 11 parks in the Southern Plains.
