Description: OVERVIEW: Teaching Traditional Building/Landscape Skills Training Project to connect at risk and adjudicated youth from the local nonprofit SEEDS Northwest Michigan Youth Conservation Corps (NWMYCC) service learning future stewards programs.

STATEMENT OF JOINT OBJECTIVES/PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN: The park partnership with SEEDS NWMYCC is a conduit to underserved and under engaged youth of northwest Lower Michigan who participate in their programs. The Teaching Traditional Buildings/Landscape Trades Training Project will expose the youth to the park resources and engage them in service learning and future steward projects.

RECIPIENT INVOLVEMENT: This project will assist park partner SEEDS NWMYCC in developing a historic structure and cultural landscape training crew that can learn basic construction and landscape skills under the direction of a SEEDS crew foreman, and a SEEDS Traditional Skills Educator and Practitioner.
