Programs should address the most pressing governance needs of the Pacific Islands, including multilateral engagement and advocacy to promote public sector accountability and tackle corruption; promote high standards investment; implement debt sustainability practices; strengthen governance institutions; increase public participation in policymaking, especially of women and marginalized populations; promote access to quality and reliable media and other sources of information; and strengthen rule of law, fundamental freedoms, and human rights.
