This grant, offered by the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management Eastern States (BLM ES), is dedicated to supporting critical efforts in cultural and paleontological resource management. The primary purpose of this funding initiative is to ensure the preservation, protection, and responsible stewardship of invaluable cultural artifacts and fossilized remains across the Eastern States region. As part of the FY23 programs, the BLM ES aims to facilitate projects that contribute to the understanding, documentation, and sustainable management of these non-renewable resources. This opportunity is designed for entities capable of executing high-quality work that aligns with federal guidelines for resource conservation. Proposals should outline clear methodologies for addressing the challenges of resource identification, assessment, and long-term care, ultimately enhancing the public’s knowledge and access where appropriate. Interested parties must submit their applications by the closing date of March 24, 2023.
