The Department of the Interior – Bureau of Land Management New Mexico (BLM NM) is offering this grant to support youth conservation opportunities on public lands within the state. This initiative aims to engage young individuals in vital conservation projects, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience and fostering a deep connection to natural resource management. This grant is specifically for the purpose of developing a new generation of environmental stewards and conservation leaders. Participants will undertake a variety of activities designed to enhance the ecological health, improve recreational access, and protect the significant cultural resources found on New Mexico’s public lands. The program seeks to offer practical skills and expose youth to potential career pathways in conservation, directly contributing to the long-term sustainability and public enjoyment of these crucial natural assets under BLM’s care.
