Description: United States Department of the Interior National Park Service (NPS) Notice of Intent to Award. This funding announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS’s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition by Task Agreement J1791100001 under Cooperative Agreement H1790080006 with the Cooperators Hudson Valley Greenway Communities Council and Greenway Conservancy HRV, Inc. P.L. 110-229 established the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commemoration Commission with the purpose of commemorating the anniversaries of European exploration in the Hudson River Valley and the Lake Champlain region. PL 104-333 established the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area. The management entity for the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial is The Hudson River Valley Greenway through the Hudson River Greenway Communities Council and Greenway Heritage Conservancy HRV, Inc as established by the Greenway Act of 1991. The Hudson River Communities Council and the Greenway Heritage Conservancy HRV, Inc. are designed to encourage Hudson River Valley communities to develop projects and initiatives related to the criteria of natural and cultural resource protection, regional and local planning, economic development, public access to the Hudson River and heritage and environmental education. The NPS intends to provide financial assistance for the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commemoration in the amount of $325,000.00.
