The Division of International Conservation intends to enter into an agreement with the Chinko Project. The purpose of this project is to establish a wildlife conservation effort in the Chinko Project area, a 17,000 square kilometer wooded savanna and forest zone in southeast Central African Republic. Specific activities include: (1) train, equip, and support at least six teams of private sector, anti-poaching rangers; and (2) conduct participative workshops and informational sessions with seasonal livestock herders and local community members to build support for future conservation efforts. |
