Additional Information

Agency Name: Bureau of Democracy Human Rights and Labor
Description: The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL), in conjunction with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for a global program to strengthen the capacity of local civil society organizations (CSOs) to leverage national, regional, and international accountability mechanisms in order to reduce impunity for corrupt actors and to promote anticorruption reforms. While DRL and INL seek to enhance civil society engagement on corruption accountability globally, the first phase of this program will focus on Sub-Saharan Africa and the development of a regional anticorruption community of practice among civil society organizations in the different sub-regions of Sub-Saharan Africa, including countries such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Uganda, and Zambia.
