Description: The Study of the U.S. Branch, Office of Academic Exchange Programs, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), invites proposal submissions for the design and implementation of eight (8) Study of the U.S. Institutes for Student Leaders under five different themes, pending the availability of FY 2016 funds. Applicants may submit a proposal to implement one or more Institutes, depending on the option chosen, see details in the NOFO.

Taking place over the course of five weeks at a U.S. academic institution, each Institute should be organized for a group of up to 20 foreign undergraduate students focusing on one of the following themes: Civic Engagement; Global Environmental Issues; Religious Pluralism in the United States; Social Entrepreneurship; and Women’s Leadership. Information on the scheduling of the Institutes and grouping of participants can be found in the NOFO. Each Institute should include four weeks of academic residency followed by a one-week integrated study tour that will expose participants to a unique region of the United States. The one-week study tour should conclude with a two or three day session in Washington, D.C.
