The ECCS department is offering this grant to spur visionary, collaborative, and multidisciplinary research in Communications, Circuits, and Sensing-Systems. This grant is for developing next-generation cyber-physical systems (CPS) that integrate computation, communication, and algorithms with physical domains. It aims to design and implement new complex and hybrid systems across all scales—nano, micro, and macro—leading to innovative engineering solutions for various application domains including healthcare, environmental monitoring, communications, and smart buildings. The ECCS program supports advanced research in areas such as integrated sensing, communication, and computational systems, RF/millimeter-wave/optical wireless, THz imaging and sensing, and mixed-signal circuits. Proposals involving collaborative research among multiple investigators are encouraged.
