The Economic Development Administration (EDA) is offering this grant to enhance the global competitiveness of state and local Economic Development Organizations (EDOs). This initiative aims to assist communities in attracting more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and increasing export promotion to strengthen local economies and create domestic jobs. The grant will support activities such as identifying effective trade and FDI promotion strategies, overcoming barriers, and developing best practice reports. Awarded communities will receive a cluster-specific assessment tool and a user-friendly toolkit. This toolkit will enable them to assess international engagement efficacy, identify global competitiveness areas, and implement enhanced strategies for economic growth.
